over the weekend i had a birthday party.
i had a lot of booze and even more fun.

a good time was had by all, even the boy who puked all over my beloved barn/floor/brand new lounge/himself. i already miss all my friends and it always feels like the last day of summer camp when its all done.

now on to plan next year’s event.

i have been totally into watching sport acrobatics on youtube, its like competitive circus. got me wishing there were more circus art people in my area, i feel like the lone freak in a big field of corn. a few years ago i bought ten yards of this fabulous black sheerish fabric and told d i was gonna make me a ring leader costume. he was like, “why?” and i replied very simply, “its for my circus” he knew better than to inquire:

a. what circus?
b. who is going to be in said circus and c. why ten yards, (because it was ONLY A DOLLAR A YARD and i need to make a fierce multi layered tutu silly!)

a few months back i went to see this guy i somewhat know perform in his ariel arts show. he does contact improv, which i will explain to you as a form of dance where you roll all over each other in no formal pattern and much like a pile of drunk puppies. its not one of my favorite forms of dance as i usually dont like strangers touching me like we’re about to have wrestle sex. anyway, he was part of this group and they practice learning trapeze and these little underpants bungee harnesses that looked really fun and i would love to take a class like that except there ISN’T a class like that around here. so then i think, should i just buy a rig, hang it from the barn and make my own class? guess i would need to know how to DO trapeze though, see…there are holes in my plan.

oh well, back to watching shit like this on youtube….
